stargazer (prelude)

Some of the best things in life are experienced in silence. Like the serenity of the night with nothing else but the moon and stars, or the peacefulness of looking at a loved one sleep. Sometimes, we fail to appreciate the beauty of stillness, that we try to fill it with words. We become so restless and impatient that we grow weary of the things that matter. So appreciate silence for all that it is. For words are too mundane to fill the void.

mak, there is a line in one of the songs in Les Miserables that says "if I speak I am condemned, if I stay silent I am damned." And there's another line in The Little Tramp that encourages one to be silent since "there are too many words in the world." These may be a little bit off from the silence you are talking about but some things need to be expressed through words in order to be appreciated and be understood.

Indeed, we need to have that space from the 'noisy' world to be able to balance in life. :)

but sometimes silence also bring us the most mourned moments of our life...

@white: Yep, I'll agree to the idea that there are really things that would be better appreciated thru words.

The thing is... LOL. Just wait for the Stargazer entry. :P

@wanderingcommuter: Yeah, I guess it depends on how one looks at it.
