My mom was a bit concerned as to how I'll "survive" being alone for this long. And by "survive", she meant how I'll manage with the chores like doing the laundry and ironing of clothes, food preparation and similar tasks. I told her I can manage and that I'll take this opportunity to train myself should I ever decide to have a place of my own.





Of course it was a lot easier here considering that everything's done with but a touch of a button, and a couple of quarters. It takes about thirty minutes to wash the clothes and an hour to dry it. The only manual part would be the ironing. And I have to say that I suck at it. Badly.


I have yet to learn how my mom manages to make my long-sleeved dress shirts look fresh and crisp all the time. But I'm trying. I'm taking baby steps. There's no need to rush.

However, the current changes in the tax exemption made me strive to quicken my pace. That PHP 150K sounds so alluring.

I can tell that my mom will simply be happy to know that I did all the washing and ironing of my clothes here. But my dad, he'd be so proud if he learns of my new plan in mind. I'd let him revel in it for a few minutes, and then tell him the truth.

He'd probably end up in a hospital. And so will I.
