don't you know you're beautiful

Hey little boy with your messy hair, your simple clothes
You're seventeen and you've got a long way to go
You keep on wishing that you were made
Like the ones you see in magazines.
Now I know you'd give anything
Just to fit in. But your worth
Ain't dependent on them,
It comes from within.

*******

Don't you know you're beautiful, just the way you are.

Easy to say when you're the white one. But if you're not, when you are among the many that just get lost in the crowd, will it be as easy? I wonder. ;p

@jeland: Each of us has something different that makes us distinct from one another, something that sets us apart from the crowd. You just have to know what makes you different and then carry it with attitude.

But then again, I wrote this in the perspective of the white goose, or duck. I have so much to say about your comment that I'll just make another entry for it. :P

Haha, also wrote the comment from the white one's perspective. That's why it made me wonder how it could be like for the others. No one here noticed any of them, right? Sad, hehe.. ;p

Haha, also wrote the comment from the white one's perspective. That's why it made me wonder how it could be like for the others. No one here noticed any of them, right? It's always the white one or the "others" collectively, never the third duck on the right, or the first one in front. And then again, the only way to describe then is in reference to the white one, always the white one. Sad, hehe.. ;p

@jeland: Ah. Well, yeah. You're right about that because that white one was sticking out from the crowd like a sore thumb. :P
