Mak pulled the glass doors and stepped inside the pantry. There was an earlier invite sent to his e-mail for a group snack at four in the afternoon. He was a bit hesitant to join as he had tons of stuff to work on but JM wouldn't listen to any of it. She dragged him off his seat and walked him to the other side of the floor. They went it only to realize that everyone was already there, huddled around the table at the far corner of the room, where the usual party food variants were placed.

He can't help but think that it was like walking in the living room of the Zeta Alpha Zetas. Scratch that. It was his new team after all. Love your own. Besides, this was the first time that he'll be with the entire team in a non-work related get-together. He might as well make the best of it. But, seriously.

After a few minutes of pleasantries, everyone was told to help themselves to the food. Mak grabbed a paper plate and stuffed it with a barbecue and a small serving of pasta. He retreated to table where the relatively younger people sat.

Among them was Thieze who was about to be get married on Saturday. And as love has always been a subject that piqued the human interest, it was pretty normal to hear everyone tease her. They threw a hundred questions like how did they meet. How long have they been together. How did he propose. Where they were planning to have their honeymoon. Was he any good.

And Mak was like, "WTF?" Girls. He sighed as he stood to get water.

Everyone's a sucker for happy ever afters; and love stories, real or imagined, are all about it.

"Ganito kasi 'yun..."
