eavesdropping

Tuesday.

I was about to go to the wash room when I heard KC's phone ring, which was immediately followed by a "Hello Chris". It was Chris. The Chris. Well, he certainly wasn't joking when he said that he'll be checking on KC if I really did inform the latter of my intention of leaving the company.

In any case, I decided to stay for a few more minutes hoping to hear what she has to say about me. It's not like I'm eavesdropping because her voice was a bit loud. Well, technically I was listening in on their conversation, which was rude. But whatever.

Two minutes in the conversation, I stood and headed to the wash room to brush my teeth. Smiling. I did not bother continue listening to the rest of what she has to say.

I trust KC even if I still feel that my current disposition on certain circumstances is the result of some of her ill-advised decisions.

I trust her.

Heck, I trust that everyone's actions are fueled by noble intentions.

Until they prove me wrong that is.

When I came back from the wash room, Kit PMed me saying that it was Chris and that he’s asking for a feedback on my work attitude and performance. I wanted to ask for the details of the talk but I had an appointment so it would have to wait.

I asked to be excused and she approved and promised to include me in the mailing list when she sends the formal recommendation via e-mail.

People can really be surprising at times.

POSTSCRIPT. Upon re-reading this entry, I realized that I wasn't able to give justice to the kindness and utmost professionalism that KC showed me. But I'm know acknowledging it. Although I don't believe you won't be able to read this. Regardless. Thanks KC.

Please can I just add the line, "You owe me that much"?

Kidding. ;)

This will greatly help me in my quest to leave your beloved company. Cheers!
