I was famished so I filled my plate with my favorite dish from Chili's - Cajun Chicken Pasta, all the while munching on a few french fries. Their fries are absolutely delicious! One of the reasons why we love eating at Chili's. (This has got to earn some free meal or something from Chili's!)
Jen was still a bit tired from her 48-hour work shift (that's how we roll in finance!) so Jela took charge in the updates once more.
This time, it was about her friend's guy friend who apparently dumped his girlfriend for x years (didn't quite catch the number) for two-timing him. Let's give them names for easier story-telling:
Jela's Friend - JF (Jela's Friend)
Jela's Friend's Guy Friend - LG (Lonely Guy)
Jela's Friend's Guy Friend's Skanky Ex-Girlfriend - TB (Two-timing Biatch)
Jela's Friend's Guy Friend's Skanky Ex-Girlfriend's Fling - TJ (The Jerk)
According to JF, LG and TB has been going out for "didn't-quite-catch-the-number" years now. The couple had an out-of-town trip just recently, an opportunity planned by LG for him to propose to his beloved. Due to undisclosed circumstances, LG found out that TB has been cheating on him for almost a year now. TB has been seeing another guy, TJ, who knows of her relationship status with LG.
Jen and Mark chorused, "that bitch!".
Back to the story. I think LG found out through TB's mobile phone wherein she sent a message to TJ which says: "Kahit siya kasama ko dito, ikaw pa rin nasa isip ko...". Aw.
Jen and Mark chorused, "ugh! the nerve..."
Mobile phones are actually a reliable tool in finding out whether your partner is cheating on you. Unless the "cheater" is using another phone. Or another sim (which is so common these days). But in any case, for those who are planning to cheat on their partners - don't be lousy! It's a tip but I still abhor you by the way.
So LG decided to break up with his girlfriend. Many more evidences of TB's unfaithfulness surfaced afterwards. JF mentioned that because of LG's frustration he posted TB's e-mail correspondence with TJ on Friendster's bulletin. It's an uncalled for act but hey, clearly he's not thinking. The sad part is that the friends of TB who were informed of the situation ganged-up on LG for what he did to their girl friend.
TB should be proud to have friends like them who will stick with her even if she's on the wrong side. Kudos to them losers! I don't know the whole story but a good friend will have your back at all times. Even if you are wrong. But to retaliate by bad-mouthing the aggrieved party (aggrieved by 'the' friend) is lame and a clear indication of poor breeding.
All three of us felt sorry for LG. Jela even said that if she were JF, she'd probably post something in the bulletin to stop the ruckus that TB's party started.
But then, things like these happen. It's a sad fact of life that there are people who cheat. And there are people who are being cheated on. No wedding rings. No engagement rings. No contracts. No promises can ever give a person surety that he won't ever be cheated on by his/her life partner.
The two girls were finishing their meals when I asked, "so what happened to TB?" Hoping to hear something that would vindicate LG.
"She's now in Dubai with TJ," Jela answered.
Life is weird that way.
